Wide fitting boots are getting easier to find for those who want to be fashionable yet have larger than average calves. Whereas in the past you had to have wide fitting boots made especially for you, today a brief surf around the internet will find precisely what you are after.

If anything I would hazard a guess that the increase in demand for wide fitting boots is world wide.
